Cabin Policies
Welcome to the A to Z Guest Ranch!
This beautiful little ranch is not only our business – it is also our home, and we feel beyond blessed that we get to share it with our guests! We look forward to meeting each of you, and sincerely hope that you enjoy a first-rate experience that will make you feel like this is your second home. We wish you every comfort during your stay, so if there is anything at all you need, please don’t hesitate to ask! We live right here on the ranch, so if you don’t find us in the office or somewhere else on our campus, please don’t hesitate to knock on our “barndominium” door!
If we are going to be away from the ranch, we will leave a note on the office door. If you need to contact us while we are away (or even if we are here), you may try texting or calling our cell phones (although the signal is sometimes unreliable in these areas; if we are not responding, we may not be getting your messages right away). Christina’s cell is 214-663-3862 and Tim’s is 469-408-8212. The land-line at the ranch is 580-244-3729.
Wi-Fi will not reach most of the cabins. However, if needed, you will have a good chance of connection on our porch or in the dining room. Come see us if you need the login info!
While we understand that rules aren’t fun or exciting, we appreciate your understanding and acceptance of their necessity while you are staying with us. They help us maintain the level of service we aim to offer, keep your visits to our ranch affordable, and protect our guests, staff, property and animals. We hope the outline below answers all of your questions, but if it does not, please don’t hesitate to call or email us, or stop by the office. You will be asked to review and acknowledge he following:

- You are at least 25 years of age (unless an exception to this policy has been pre-authorized).
- Check-out time is 11:00am on the date of your departure, unless a late check-out time has been pre-authorized. Prior to checkout, please do the following: a) Wash and dry all dirty dishes and put them away in the cabinets you found them in when you checked into the cabin, b) Place all trash in a trash can and leave it inside the cabin. Please DO NOT leave any trash (bagged or otherwise) outside of the cabin, c) Clean up any excessive messes (sticky spills, greasy splatters, confetti, bodily fluids, etc.), d) Place all used towels, cloths and robes on the bathroom or kitchen floor (it is not necessary to strip bed linens), e) Turn off all lights and adjust the thermostat to: 55* in winter months and turn it off in summer months, f) Place the cabin key on top of the guest journal (we love to read your notes, by the way!). - Smoking is not allowed in any of our cabins, in any other buildings on our property OR on our ATV or Horse trails. Smokers must be courteous of non-smoking guests, and must dispose of cigarette/cigar refuse in a “butt” can provided on your cabin porch or other common area. Do NOT throw lit/hot butts in a trash can, and do not throw butts on the ground.
- Do not litter on our campgrounds or on our trails. If you pack it out, pack it back in! Note: This includes bones. Please do not throw bones of any kind in your fire or on the ground – they attract unwanted critters and also may later be found by our personal pets or other guests’ pets who may have a bad reaction to them (this has happened!).
- Pets are not allowed in our cabins or other buildings at this time. Service Animals, as defined under the ADA, are welcome if supporting a guest with a disability, but must be disclosed prior to arrival. The service animal must behave as a trained service dog would (no barking, jumping, running off, or growling/threatening humans or other animals etc). Cats are not covered under the ADA and are NOT allowed under any circumstance whatsoever. Unauthorized pets will be subject to additional fees, or you may be asked to find other accommodations. Pre-authorized pets are subject to limitations and an additional cleaning fee, and any excessive cleaning or repair needed may result in additional charges. If an exception is made for pets to enter our cabin, and/or if service animals are present, they must NOT be allowed on any furniture (including beds), and must be crated at all times if left inside unattended. When outdoors, pets must be tethered on a leash or lead at all times, must not be a nuisance (i.e. barking), and waste must be disposed of. Do not allow your pet to run un-tethered or unattended.
- Damage or Excessive Cleaning incurred to our property while under your use will result in a charge to you for any excessive cleaning, repair and/or replacement needed of the damaged item(s). This includes damage caused by you, your children, your guests, pets, and/or your horses, and includes damage to building exteriors and interiors, linens, floors, furniture, equipment, appliances, dishes, decorations and all other property. If a vacuum is not provided in your cabin and you have a large mess (i.e. confetti) to clean up, please let us know and we will loan one to you.
- Fresh linens are provided in an amount generally ample enough for the scheduled number of guests to use during your stay. However, if you need additional towels, please don’t hesitate to ask. Additionally, if you have a spill or need to clean something off that is extremely dirty (i.e. an ATV or vehicle), please don’t use the cabin towels. Let us know and we will provide other towels or rags. We do invite you to join us to conserve water by using your towels more than once. In addition to decreasing water and energy consumption, this helps us reduce the amount of detergent entering our water system. Along with Mother Earth, we appreciate your help with keeping things as “green” as possible.
- Quiet time is from 10:00pm to 8:00am. You may still enjoy your campfire during quiet time, but noise levels must be kept to a minimum so as not to disturb other guests.
- If you will be riding horses (ours or if you brought your own), You are required to sign our Liability Release Form BEFORE you ride.
- If you brought your own horse(s):
- Stalls/corrals assigned to your cabin must be used unless otherwise pre-authorized to use different ones.
- Only one horse may be placed in each stall/corral.
- You are required to clean your stalls/corrals daily. On the day of your departure, stalls/corrals must be cleaned to restore them to the condition you found them in. A $25.00 fee per stall/corral will be charged if we have to clean them after you leave. (Note: if you would like us to clean your stall/corral while you are staying with us, please let us know in advance and we will arrange to clean them for you for a fee per-cleaning).
- NO trotting or running your horses inside the campgrounds. WALKING ONLY please – for the safety of our guests, horses and staff.

Our hot tubs are cleaned and chemically treated after every rental and drained regularly. Hot tub use is strictly at your own risk. Persons who have high blood pressure, skin sensitivities or other health concerns, or who might be pregnant are strongly urged not to use a hot tub. Hot tubs can cause your blood pressure to rise, especially if you have been drinking.
